Summer Camp

Summer Camp at AV

The Antiochian Village Summer Camp Program serves young people ages 9-17 who come to attend one of four two-week sessions. One of the main goals of the Village Camp program is to present to young people a living experience of the Holy Orthodox Faith in their relationship with God and other campers in an uncluttered, natural environment.

The Village provides an experience, which has been very instrumental in the spiritual maturation of many young people. The major components which contribute to that experience include the following:

  • daily Orthodox worship with an emphasis on participation;
  • a challenge toward spiritual growth through daily homilies, religious education, and relationships with counselors and fellow Orthodox campers;
  • a safe and naturally beautiful setting for group living; and
  • a caring and loving staff fully dedicated to the campers well-being and growth.

2. Review the Following

Please be sure to review the following prior to registration:

3. Register Online

Use the following link to complete our online registration*:

*Please note that a deposit of $100 will be required upon registration. This deposit is non-transferable and non-refundable; exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Camp Director.

4. Fill out Medical Information

In order to expedite the registration process, we have skipped the medical information questions and forms during the initial registration process. Once registered please log back into your account and complete the medical information for each of your campers. All campers, staff and volunteers at AV need to receive an annual physical (medical exam) within 12 months of the camping session. The camp nurse will needs a Medical Exam Form filled out by the primary care physician who administered the physical. Please upload the completed form to your online account, or upload a separate form filled out by your care physician that covers all the information in this form. Note, this Medical Exam Form is separate from the medical exam questions you will need to fill out on your online account.

MEDICAL INFORMATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY APRIL 30TH. Instead of Late Fees this year, there will be a $50 refundable medical fee applied to all registrants, which will be refunded upon timely completion of all medical information. If this information is not completed by your session start date, your child will not be able to attend camp. If there are outstanding circumstances that prevent this deadline from being met for the Medical Exam Form, you need to let the Camp Nurse know by April 30th by emailing healthcenter@avcamp.org.

5. Stay Connected during Summer Camp

This year we have our own app! Bunk1 has partnered with our database system, CircuiTree, to provide us with a new and improved way to stay in touch with our camper families. Using the Bunk 1 App, you will be able to send notes to your camper (this will replace camper Vmails) throughout the session, view photos (this will replace smugmug), and receive updates.

This is a new and free service that was offered to us since we are partnered with CircuiTree. We have signed a one year contract (at no charge to the Village) and will re-evaluate after this summer. We will be looking for your feedback as to whether this is a successful and useful way for you to stay informed and connected.

Fees & Financial Assistance

Fees

2025 Camper Tuition

$1150

2025 CIT Tuition

$550

Balance of all payments is due by April 30, or the camper’s spot may be offered to those on the waitlist for that particular session. Special payment arrangements can be made by emailing office@avcamp.org and are subject to approval by the Camp Director, but such requests must be received prior to the April 30 deadline. All balances will be billed to the camper’s parents, regardless of any parish subsidies, so parents are encouraged to ensure that all parish subsidies are paid before the April 30 deadline to avoid losing their camper’s spot in the session. If medical information is NOT completed by the 1-month deadline, then a $50 fee will be applied to the camper’s registration.

Financial Assistance

We understand that not all families are able to afford the cost of camp. The Antiochian Village Camp is committed to ensure a young person is not denied the opportunity to attend camp due to financial concerns. Three efforts are used to assist camper families in financial need. Assistance is often provided through the Camp’s resources and financial assistance fundraising, the Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch Financial Assistance, and parish tuition assistance as well as some parishes subsidizing transportation to and from camp (check with your parish priest about parish assistance).

Each parish in the Antiochian Archdiocese receives $1000 in financial assistance funds from the Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch. Your parish priest determines the disbursement of these funds and can be consulted for all details. Parish priests must complete this form online from the Archdiocese Camp Ministry no later than March 31st or these funds will be disbursed to other campers who request additional Financial Assistance. Additional funds are also available from the Antiochian Village for families needing financial assistance. To request financial assistance, please fill out the online “Financial Assistance Request Form”, no later than February 28th. Financial assistance requests open once camp registration opens, in January. Notification of awards will be sent sometime in April. All financial assistance requests are confidential, and awards are only given on the basis of financial need.
