Winter Camp 2025

February 14-17, 2025

Camp in the Winter?

Winter Camp is a weekend retreat for those in grades 7 – 12, held over Presidents Day weekend in February. We average about 150 campers at Winter Camp each year! Campers arrive on Friday night and leave on Monday, as most schools are closed on Monday for the holiday. Borrowing some of your favorite activities from the summer, Winter Camp includes: Christian Ed with multiple speakers, Afternoon Program, Evening program, and much more! Winter Camp also provides a chance to meet other campers from different regions and different sessions from the summer! For Winter Camp, our campers will stay in our recently constructed heated log cabins. All meals, services, and activities are held at the Camp.

2025 Guest Speakers

Fr. Anthony G. Yazge

Pastor of St. George Orthodox Church in Fishers, Indiana since 2020. Previously Fr. Anthony was the Antiochian Village Camp Director from 2006 – 2020 and before that the pastor of St. George Orthodox Church in Terre Haute, Indiana (1988-2006). Fr. Anthony has served as the NAC Teen SOYO & Midwest Teen SOYO Spiritual Advisor as well as the priest overseeing the Special Olympics Camp program on behalf of Teen SOYO. He, along with his cousin, started the Special Olympics Camp program at the Antiochian Village in 1980. Fr. Dn. Marek Simon

Dn. Marek has over 20 years of experience in youth and young adult ministry. He previously served at Antiochian Village Camp from 2002-2019, mentoring and supervising summer camp staff, developing programming, and overseeing the advancement efforts of the camp. He transitioned to this role with OCF in 2019, recognizing a strong desire and opportunity to strengthen the Church’s ministry to college students. He believes that every college student should have the opportunity to be part of a faithful campus community where they are known and loved- keeping students more richly connected to Christ.

Fr. Michael Nasser

Fr. Michael Nasser is enjoying his ministry assignment as the Pastor of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church since 2015, having served previously as a mission priest in both Bowling Green, KY and Tijuana, Mexico, as well as having been blessed with a decade of ministry as both a camp director and in the field of campus ministry. He has been married to Vicky since 1994 and they are blessed with three wonderful (and now adult) children: Maria, Joshua and Elena. Fr. Michael studied at St. Vladimir’s Seminary in Crestwood, NY before finishing his M.Div. at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, in Brookline, MA, where he also received his Th.M. following studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Beverly, MA, in the fields of Missions and Youth Ministry. He enjoys kayaking and backpacking, and following politics and current events to examine the integration of faith into everyday life.
